Signing

Print, sign, scan, send back

Four steps, half an hour, and a document that lost its sharpness on the way. The signature can go into the file itself.

Sign the documentThe original stays with you

The signature lands on the page as part of the document. The output file is new and the unsigned version stays untouched, which matters while a contract is still circulating.

What this is, and what it is not

This is a handwritten signature placed in the file — the equivalent of what you do with a pen on a printout. It is not a qualified electronic signature and not an identity-verified one; those rest on a certificate from a provider and a separate service.

The distinction is practical. For a client contract, a handover protocol or a statement, the first is usually accepted. Where a rule requires a qualified signature, no drawing tool substitutes for it.

Facts about this tool

  • Adds a watermark, page numbers or a signature
  • Runs the page tools entirely in your browser: those files are never uploaded

Signing runs in the browser. The contract is not uploaded anywhere, which with documents carrying both parties' details is an argument on its own.

The commercial side

  • Let you download the result without a subscription — running the tool is open to everyone, the download is not
  • Offer a free plan — there is an intro week, then the monthly or annual price
